Many times I have agents ask me when is the best time to make a move to another brokerage. My answer is any time that you don’t stand to lose too much commission. Many brokers cut the commission split to 50% when an agent gives notice… thus making it difficult to leave when money is due. However, there is really no good time to move, especially if the agent is busy and has consistent closings. My answer is always, it will be best to leave when the least amount of money can be given away or lost. Usually there is never a time when the agent has nothing going on, and it allows them to leave with no listings, or pending’s.
Here at Downing-Frye, our agents are busy all year long, and even off Season has proven to be a busy time for our agents! So it is always good timing to plan to move your license to Downing-Frye!
